"Hibiscus Resort: A Dream Island in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah"

During my trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Hibiscus Resort was like a shining pearl, becoming the most unforgettable place in my heart.

The natural scenery here is unparalleled. Located in the northwest of Gaya Island, the tropical rainforest is lush and full of biodiversity, with lizards and chameleons shuttling through it and tropical fish playing in the water. The white sandy beach and glassy sea along the entire coastline are stunning. When I first arrived here and looked at the blue sea, everyone was so shocked that they could only exclaim "wow." Its beauty is beyond words.

Convenient transportation is a major advantage of Hibiscus Resort. There are three free boats departing from Jesselton Point at 12:30, 16:30, and 22:00 every day, and the boat ride takes only about 20 minutes. We took the 12:30 boat, and although we didn't check in until 3 pm, it didn't affect our excitement. For the return trip, the 11 am boat is free, while other times cost 350 MR per person. Most travelers choose to check out before 11 am and take the free boat. The Echo Alliance check-in office at the pier is also easy to find.

The variety of activities makes the vacation life exciting. The hotel's sports center offers rental of diving equipment, boating, paddleboarding, beach volleyball, etc., and several swimming pools are open until 7 pm. We tried snorkeling and sunset boating, and the fun was indescribable. There are also paid activities, such as 45 MR/person for a coach-led snorkeling session, 150 MR/person for jungle zip-lining, and other sea trips and spa activities.

The service is also attentive and thoughtful. The staff warmly welcomed us when we arrived on the island and gave us local sarongs and thermos cups. The hotel's toiletries are all handmade locally, and the conditioner and body lotion have a charming herbal and woody scent.

The food is also not to be missed. The three restaurants each have their own flavors. Breakfast is served at the poolside restaurant, where you can order a main course, and drinks, coffee, and bread are self-service. Dinner is served at the seaside western restaurant, and the seafood pasta and rice are amazing. The seafood is fresh and large, and you can eat to your heart's content for 150 MR per person. The scenery of Hibiscus Resort, with half rainforest and half sea, is full of surprises.
