Parc La Grange

The Eerie Soundscape of the Lakeside"
The walk along the paths overlooking Lac Léman was chillingly effective. The sound design team used the open space to great advantage, playing faint, distorted classical music—mostly mournful cello and violin—that seemed to be carried across the water by the cold wind. It was deeply disorienting. There were no obvious actors here, but the sound, combined with the thick, low-lying fog creeping in from the lake, gave the terrifying impression that something enormous was emerging from the depths. The sense of isolation and scale near the water was masterful, proving that sometimes, what you don't see is far scarier than what you do.
