Qinghai Lake (青海湖), known as Koko Nor in Mongolian, is located in the northeastern part of Qinghai Province in western China, on the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau.

It sits at an altitude of approximately 3,200 meters (10,500 feet) above sea level, making it one of the world’s highest large lakes.
