UK 🇬🇧Time Travel‼ ️Royal Observatory Greenwich😙Red brick building🤭

Greenwich is my second stop to the UK🇬🇧❤️ After going to London, I took the train
My main purpose is actually to visit the Royal Observatory Greenwich 🤭 see the most famous meridian line here 👍🏻 everyone is here to see it

Greenwich is on the southeast side of London😙 If you leave from King's Cross Station I think the drive is about 40-50 minutes or so🤔 so it's very fast
There can be several modes of transportation!! ️ They are the London Underground 🚇 London Bus 🚌 and the Thames River Sightseeing Cruise ❤️ You can see how much time you have and where you stay to determine the mode of transportation

The Royal Observatory in Greenwich, built in 1675, was actually initially only to help the Ordnance Department conduct survey work
Observation instruments such as astronomical measurements were added until later
Slowly it became the most important observatory in the world 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Now the Royal Observatory in Greenwich is actually affiliated with the British Maritime Museum so if you want to visit you need to purchase tickets 🎫 not a free 🆓 museum

The entrance ticket 🎫 adults is 16 pounds 💷 🤣 I have in advance to buy good tickets online 🎫 so it is not on site and use time to queue up to buy 😍 And now the pound is cheaper to buy online have advantages

The initial meridian is the focus of everyone going in to see!! ️ It is also known as zero degree longitude and 0 degree longitude etc. 😂 There are many different names
I looked at the information 📃 it said that the starting point of latitude calculation is different from the equator
Because the earth 🌍 is rotating so in fact, theoretically any meridian can be said to be the primary meridian line😂
So in the past European countries had their own recognition of the initial meridian 😅😅 However, because the UK launched the world of expansion 🤔 unified meridian became important
Finally, at the International Meridian Conference in Washington, DC in 1884, the Greenwich meridian was decided as the standard😙😙

You can already see the extension of the Greenwich Meridian as soon as you enter from the right side of the main door
😀 Although it looks super nifty 😂
And all you have to do is stand on the Greenwich meridian ❤️
It's a check-in activity that everyone does
