三星堆 (Sanxingdui) is an extraordinary archaeological site and museum in Sichuan, China, famous for its mysterious and ancient bronze artifacts. Discovered in the 1920s, the site has revealed incredible treasures—giant bronze masks, intricate statues, and gold objects—that offer a rare glimpse into a unique and ancient civilization unlike anywhere else in the world. New artefacts continues to be unearthed as the archaeological work is still ongoing at Sanxingdui.
This museum is build right next to the site and the artefacts found is enough to fill the Museum’s total exhibition area of 20,000 square meters. There’s truly nowhere else quite like it. I can’t even begin to describe how special it feels to when I stood in front of the giant statues, or when I saw the huge number of artefacts so intricately build. I even found one that looks exactly like the pig in angry bird ( photo 4 ). You will not see these anywhere else in the world. Strongly recommend
Tips: If you use WeChat and is able to read a little bit of Chinese, you will be able to save on $200 dollars guided tour. On your WeChat front page, pull down to see the WeChat app page. Search or 三星堆 app and you can access all floor plans and voice guide in all languages.
