🏮The most prosperous Buddhist temple in Guangzhou

Located in the commercial heart of Guangzhou's central axis, the Pujue Tower, a large Buddhist temple, is known as the Guangzhou equivalent of Chongqing's Hongyadong Cave and the real-life version of Spirited Away. The temple, covering over 15,000 square meters, is one of Guangzhou's five largest Buddhist monasteries. Construction began during the Southern Han Dynasty (917-971), spanning over a thousand years. Construction began in 2010 on the temple's main Dharma-propagation building, the Pujue Tower, which was completed six years later. The roof is composed of specially crafted golden copper tiles, oxidized to withstand wind and rain. Even though the temple remains open year-round, it retains its grandeur and radiates golden splendor in the sunlight.
