Discover Dong and Miao Culture in Zhaoxing Dong Village

#chinatravel Zhaoxing Dong Village is one of those places where you slow way down without even trying. Tucked in the hills of Guizhou, it’s full of peaceful charm and deep traditions. It’s a great spot to discover both Dong and nearby Miao village culture, think old wooden houses, traditional music, and locals just living their everyday lives.

The village has five beautiful drum towers that are basically the heart of the place. Walk the stone paths, chill by the river, and take in the mountain views. If you're lucky, you might hear some traditional Dong singing in the evening. It’s seriously calming.

There are also Miao villages not far from here, so you can explore both cultures in one trip. The area’s great for short hikes, slow strolls, and plenty of amazing food. Definitely try the bamboo rice with cured bacon, next level.

Zhaoxing is all about unplugging, soaking in the scenery, and just being present. No rush, just real village life.
