#chinatravel Took a casual walk around Guiyang in Guizhou Province and it turned into such a fun little adventure. The city has this cool mix of modern vibes and super local charm. One minute you’re walking past glass buildings, and the next you’re in an old alley with street food and aunties selling fresh tofu.
I started in the downtown area, wandered through some parks, crossed a few bridges, and somehow ended up at a night market without even planning it. The smells were amazing and I had some spicy noodles that totally slapped.
There’s also a chill pace to the city. It’s not rushing like some other big cities. People seem friendly, the streets are walkable, and there’s always something interesting to look at whether it’s street art or a random temple.
If you like exploring without a set plan and just going with the flow, Guiyang is perfect. Wear comfy shoes, come hungry, and just let the city guide you.
