Spring in Gyeongju is truly special. 🌸 The historic city is adorned with cherry blossoms and canola flowers, creating a picturesque scene. This trip was a one-day excursion to Gyeongju during the cherry blossom season!
Arriving early in the morning at Gyeongju Station, the first destination was Bulguksa Temple. ⛩️ Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bulguksa boasts a serene atmosphere complemented by stunning cherry blossoms. Strolling through the temple grounds, admiring the Seokgatap and Dabotap pagodas, and walking along petal-strewn paths brought a sense of peace. 🙏🌸
The road in front of Bulguksa is lined with cherry blossoms, perfect for a leisurely walk without cars. Although there were many visitors, everyone was busy marveling at the scenery and taking photos, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere. 📸🌸
Lunch was at Olbareut Restaurant near Bulguksa. 🥢🍲 This place serves a traditional Korean meal set, focusing on healthy dishes made with vegetables and greens. The perilla soup and barley rice were especially light and delicious, making it an ideal spot for a comfortable meal during the trip. 😊🥬
After lunch, we headed to Bomun Tourist Complex, famous for its canola flowers. The vast fields of bright yellow blossoms were dazzling. 💛🌼 The rare combination of cherry blossoms and canola flowers created a breathtaking view! Many couples and families were there, filling the area with laughter and joy. 👨👩👧👦
We rented bicycles and rode around Bomun Lake, enjoying the flowers along the way. The refreshing breeze and fragrant floral scents melted away all the travel fatigue. 🚴♀️🌬️
Though the trip was short, it was a perfect day filled with cherry blossoms, canola flowers, Bulguksa Temple, and delicious food. A spring trip to Gyeongju comes highly recommended! 🌸📍💛
