No one would object if I say that northern Xinjiang is the ceiling for National Day travel.

Autumn in Kanas is breathtakingly beautiful 🍁 Make sure to save this Three Bays hiking guide! Stop squeezing into tour buses—90% of people miss the most stunning scenery~
🚶♂️Recommended Hiking Route
Start | Fairy Bay
Arrive around 7 AM; Fairy Bay in the morning mist looks like a fairyland! Walk 200 meters down from the viewing platform to find the wooden boardwalk entrance. Remember to wear non-slip shoes (the boardwalk is very slippery with dew).
Midpoint | Moon Bay
This 2.5 km riverside boardwalk is the highlight! Golden larches reflect on the emerald river surface, and you'll find many great photo spots along the way:
📍S-shaped river bend corner (drone shooting spot)
📍Birch forest suspension bridge (popular check-in spot)
📍Herder’s cabin (perfect for cultural shots)
End | Wolong Bay
After 3 PM, the sunlight is perfect for photographing the "Dragon Spine" peninsula. The pebble piles by the riverbank are great for resting and picnicking (bring your own snacks! There’s not much food inside the park).
⚠️Useful Tips
1. Definitely bring a windbreaker! The valley can suddenly get windy and cold enough to chill your ears.
2. Prepare a power bank and offline maps (signal in the park is spotty).
3. If herders offer horse rides, politely decline! Hiking lets you see the details better.
4. After October, the boardwalk may have thin ice; hiking boots and a thermos are recommended.
