"Shoka Sonjuku" in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, was a private school founded by the late Edo period thinker Yoshida Shoin, where many of the patriots who became the driving force behind the Meiji Restoration studied. ✨

When you actually visit, the small wooden building is filled with a tranquil atmosphere that seems to have retained the atmosphere of the time.
