Wuyuan River National Wetland Park, in search of the Lonely Tree. Follow the path to the left of Hongyantang, and you'll find a solitary tree standing by the riverbed. Even lonelier than Wanaka's famous tree, it has become a popular photo spot. Fine sandy beaches, cloud-shaped swings, and the flying house that has since flown away. The 6-kilometer-long Holiday Beach features pristine white sands and an ocean-view boardwalk, with rocky outcrops on the western side. The red ocean-view clock tower connects to Xiuxiu Beach, making for stunning photographs. Near the Century Bridge, discover the seaside cloud cave, the Cloud Cave Library, and expansive ocean views—perfect for reading, watching the sea, and enjoying what might be the most beautiful sunset scenery.
