Former Hakodate Public Hall

#OldHakodateWardPublicHall #Hakodate

During the late Edo period, Hakodate was influenced by the great powers and was one of the first places to adopt Western culture and buildings.

One of these is the Old Hakodate Ward Public Hall. We don't know the exact purpose of its use at the time, but it is registered as a national cultural property.

Photography is allowed inside, so I took a few photos and captured them on camera.

This place is near the top of a hill and not on flat ground, so you can see the area around Hakodate Port, but it was raining on the day I visited and the view was not very good, so I would like to go again if I get the chance.
