A one-day tour guide to Hakodate (including food)

This trip to Hokkaido first arrived in Hakodate ✈️, this city left me with the impression of being comfortable and delicious. I chose to find an accommodation near JR Hakodate Station, which is convenient for visiting surrounding attractions and food, and not far from the airport.

🌟Accommodation recommendation: Hotels near JR Hakodate Station, surrounded by many high-quality restaurants and tourist attractions, with convenient transportation.

The first stop was Hakodate Morning Market🌇. I woke up early and went to the morning market to have breakfast.

🌟Food recommendation: Chachamu Dream - The seafood rice bowl in this restaurant is affordable and delicious, and there are also hearty side dishes with generous portions!

Next, I visited the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse. The sea is next to the warehouse, and you can take beautiful photos of a row of red brick warehouses from a small bridge. There are also many interesting shops to visit in the warehouse.

🌟Food recommendation: PETITE MERVEILLE – This dessert shop is located in a warehouse, their cakes and puddings are really delicious! In addition, there is a Lucky Clown Burger branch near the Red Brick Warehouse, where you can have lunch. Their burgers are large and their milkshakes are delicious~

The next stop is Hachimanzaka🌉, this popular check-in spot is an intersection overlooking the sea, and sometimes you can see the tram passing by below, which is very spectacular.

Finally, I went to Mount Hakodate ⛰️. Starting from Hachimanzaka, follow the road on the left and you will find the entrance to Mount Hakodate. I bought a cable car ticket 🚡 and went to the top of the mountain to enjoy the million-dollar night view, but I personally think the view during the day is more beautiful. If the weather is good, the sea will appear a deep blue, which is very healing. After descending Mount Hakodate, I went looking for a place to have dinner.

🌟Food recommendation: Nishiki Sushi - This sushi restaurant has been in business for decades. There are no fancy combinations, only fresh ingredients and pure taste. At first, when I was dipping the rice in soy sauce, the rice fell apart. Grandpa immediately replaced it with a new one and carefully told me the correct way to dip it. Grandma immediately changed the soy sauce dish for me. Their careful preparation made the food even more delicious😋.

Don’t forget to taste Hakodate milk🥛, milk that can only be bought in Hakodate, it has a refreshing taste and is not greasy at all, you can drink a box in one go!

📝ps: There are places where you can stamp at each scenic spot, which is very interesting. If you like, you can collect them!

This trip to Hakodate was a double enjoyment of delicious food and beautiful scenery, which made me reluctant to leave! Looking forward to the next trip to Hokkaido! 🌸🏔️🍛
