InterContinental Hangzhou Hotel Check-in Experience
🌁 Decor Style: Designed with the concept of "Sun and Moon Shining Together," the hotel boasts a dazzling golden spherical exterior. The lobby is grand with high ceilings, featuring a blue and gold color scheme and streamlined decorations. It blends modern art with the vibrancy of a Jiangnan water town, creating a nighttime spectacle as if stars have fallen to earth.
🏘️ Room Type/Layout: The rooms offer expansive views, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Qiantang River or the city's neon lights. My river-view room had a spacious layout, cleverly separating the sofa area from the sleeping area. It was equipped with an intelligent control system and decorated with subtle ink-wash elements, exuding elegance.
🎠 Activities: The hotel features a heated swimming pool and a fitness center. In the evening, you can stroll along the Qiantang River or cycle to the City Balcony to enjoy the light show, experiencing the Jiangnan nightscape described in the poem "Half a moat of spring water, a city of flowers, and misty rain over thousands of houses."
🍽️ Dining Characteristics: The Western restaurant offers authentic Hangzhou cuisine and international dishes. I recommend the Longjing Shrimp, with tender shrimp wrapped in a delicate tea aroma. The Chinese restaurant, "Qiantang Li," specializes in creative Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisine, with dishes presented like works of art. You can enjoy the ambiance with live guzheng music during your meal.
💰️ Average Cost: Accommodation is approximately RMB 1,200-2,000 per night, and dining is around RMB 150-300 per person.
💗 Other Tips: Drawn by the song "Dream Paradise" and its lyrics "Our home, living in paradise, the green lake ripples with beautiful dreams," the hotel is ideally located just a 10-minute drive from the Olympic Sports Center and the Qianjiang New City business district. It's perfect for families or couples. Wake up to the Qiantang sunrise and fall asleep to the river breeze, truly living up to the saying, "Above, there is paradise; below, there are Suzhou and Hangzhou."
