Ding ding ding~
After a lot of effort, I finally organized the travel guide for [Xiangao City · Xihu Dang]!
Although Jiangxi has already entered "freezing" weather 🥶, the photos on my phone are still stuck in autumn...
(Don't ask, just know my procrastination kicked in again hhh)
If I had to pick my favorite thing in Xiangao City, it would definitely be the nighttime fish lantern parade—it's absolutely stunning, like a dream!
But the excitement in Xiangao City isn’t just at night~ 👇
🌤️ Daytime activities:
✅ Stroll the old streets and photograph ancient buildings: Many old houses here are over a hundred years old, with white walls paired with black tiles and exquisite wooden carved window decorations. Every shot is full of charm. If you love Huizhou-style architecture, you’ll definitely be enchanted~
✅ Feed the koi at Xihu Dang: The chubby red koi in the lake swim in groups and come over to snatch food—so cute it’s almost unfair! Feels like good luck is about to fall on you 🍀
✅ Enjoy local food in the neighborhood: Snacks, milk tea, sweet soups, barbecue, and authentic Jiangxi cuisine... so many choices it’s dazzling, no need to worry about going hungry!
🌙 When night falls, Xiangao City becomes even livelier!
① The fish lantern parade is the highlight and a must-see! Lanterns shaped like fish glow as they float through the alleys, like stepping into a fairy tale dream night.
② The fire performance is super impressive! With fire pots spinning rapidly and fire breathing acts, waves of heat hit the crowd, and the audience’s cheers never stop~
③ The intangible cultural heritage face-changing and acrobatics shows are also spectacular, with performers so agile you can’t take your eyes off them~
When you’re tired, no need to run around—here, bars, tea houses, and late-night eateries are all close by, truly achieving the “shop, then eat, then drink” experience. This one-stop service really gets what young people want!
If you’re planning to visit Wuyuan, besides going to Huangling to see the autumn drying scenes, I sincerely recommend setting aside half a day for Xiangao City, playing from day to night to experience two completely different atmospheres~ 📸
(Of course, I’ll definitely come back again hahaha...)
