📍The Central Mosque of Songkhla Province
This is one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in southern Thailand, often referred to as the "Taj Mahal of Thailand."
• Opening hours:
• Open daily (visitors can explore the outer area and take photos almost all day).
• To enter the interior, it is accessible during prayer times (visitors should dress modestly and respect the site).
• The building features a white structure with a golden dome, situated in the middle of a water body. A long reflecting pool leads up to the mosque, creating stunning reflections, especially during sunrise and sunset.
• The architecture is a blend of modern Islamic design, with tall round columns and a spacious hall.
• The surrounding area is a wide open space, perfect for strolling and photography.
• It is recommended to visit in the evening near sunset for beautiful lighting and cooler temperatures.
• Dress code for entering the interior:
• Women: Long-sleeved tops, long pants or skirts, and a headscarf if possible.
• Men: Long pants and sleeved shirts.
• No entrance fee.
