Hefei Bao Gong Tomb, the First Honest Official in History

Introduction: Bao Gong Tomb, full name Bao Xiaosu Cemetery, is the tomb of Bao Zheng (999-1062) and his wife Dong, and their descendants. It is located in Hefei City, Anhui Province. It was originally in Daxingji, East Suburb (Daxing Town, Yaohai District). In 1987, it was relocated to No. 72 Wuhu Road, on the south bank of Baohe River, Baohe Community, Baogong Street, Baohe District, next to Bao Gong Temple.
In 1956, Bao Xiaosu Cemetery was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Anhui Province. It was excavated during the expansion of Hefei No. 2 Iron and Steel Plant in 1973, so it was cancelled when the provincial protection unit was re-verified in 1982. It was relocated next to Bao Gong Temple in 1987. On December 31, 2004, the relocated Bao Gong Tomb was listed as the third batch of cultural relics protection units in Hefei City.
