[Helsingor] Kronborg Castle, a World Heritage Site

Kronborg Castle, a World Heritage Site located on the coastline about 30km north of Copenhagen, is famous as the setting for Shakespeare's play "Hamlet."

Although it's far from Copenhagen, it's within the validity area of the Copenhagen Card, so I visited within the validity period of my 48-hour card! The train ride there and back was also comfortable.

I got off at the last stop, Helsingør, and as soon as I exited the station, I could see the magnificent castle in the distance. (The first photo was taken from that spot.)

It was about a 15-minute walk to the castle. 💡

I regret going there without any prior knowledge of Hamlet. 😂
But regardless, the castle was truly magnificent. 🥹

There were costumed performers performing plays in various parts of the castle, which was also fun. ✨

There's also a tower you can climb, and the ninth photo was taken from the observation deck. From this vantage point, I could see the Helsingør station, the town, and even Helsingborg, Sweden, just across the water. It was a wonderful sight. ☺️

There was plenty to see inside the castle, so it's a wonderful World Heritage site worth taking your time to explore. 🏰❤︎
