Winter hiking in Nuuksio National Park felt like stepping into a fairytale. ❄️🌲

Just a short trip from Helsinki, this peaceful escape was covered in a thick blanket of snow, turning the forest into a magical winter wonderland. The air was crisp, the lakes were frozen, and the only sounds were the crunch of snow under my boots and the occasional call of a bird flying overhead.
The trails wound through towering pine trees dusted with fresh snow, leading to breathtaking viewpoints and peaceful frozen lakes. Stopping at a wilderness firepit, we warmed up with hot coffee and grilled sausages over an open flame—nothing tastes better after a cold hike! The cozy scent of burning wood mixed with the fresh winter air made the experience even more special.

Despite the chilly temperatures, moving through the forest kept us warm, and the beauty of the snow-covered landscapes made every step worth it.
