Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park - Hiroshima

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is a war memorial site dedicated to remember the Hiroshima atomic bombing. The main exhibition features common items, photos and stories of local Japanese people whose lives were affected by the bomb. The exhibition demonstrates the horror and trauma experienced by the Japanese people and it is unlike any other war stories. Around the park you can also find the A-Bomb building, which is a remnant of a prefectural industrial promotion hall that was mostly destroyed by the bomb. It is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can also find monuments and cenotaphs erected to remember the victims of the bomb. #hiroshima #japan
