I had the chance to visit the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Building and the nearby Ho Chi Minh Statue both during the day and at night, and each experience was unique in its own way.
By day, the French colonial architecture of the People’s Committee Building really stands out against the bright sky, allowing me to appreciate its intricate details and grandeur up close. The statue area was peaceful, perfect for taking in the surroundings and snapping some great photos without the crowds.
At night, the scene transforms completely. The building is beautifully lit, casting a warm glow that highlights its elegance. The Ho Chi Minh Statue area becomes lively with colorful lights, locals hanging out, and even street performers adding energy and vibrancy to the atmosphere. It was great to see how this spot serves as a calm daytime retreat and a buzzing nighttime hangout.
Visiting both times gave me a fuller sense of the place — from historic charm to lively urban spirit. Definitely worth experiencing both!
