🌙 Hội An – A magical night of flickering lights

I visited in October 2023.
Hoi An, the ancient capital of central Vietnam, is a city that looks completely different between day and night.

During the day, I leisurely strolled through the old streets lined with yellow-walled houses. Dotted with cafes and general stores, every angle is photogenic. But as the sun sets, the city transforms completely.
Countless lanterns come on, bathing the entire riverside street in a soft glow.

Small boats passing up and down the Thu Bon River are decorated with colorful lanterns, and the light reflected on the river's surface creates a truly magical scene.
As I floated my lantern aboard the boat, the light, filled with my wishes, drifted on the water,
creating a nostalgic and peaceful moment.

Street corners are lined with artisan-made lantern shops,
with a truly diverse selection available, including designs depicting flowers and birds, and ones that make the most of the texture of silk. We also recommend choosing a personalized lantern as a memento of your trip.
