Hoi An Ancient Town in Vietnam, located near Da Nang, is a quaint and well-preserved ancient trading port and commercial town. The architecture, culture, and cuisine throughout the town are infused with French, Chinese, and Japanese elements, showcasing cultural diversity that attracts visitors from around the world. There is also a significant Chinese community living here, with several Chinese clan halls on the streets, including Guangzhao, Fujian, and Zhonghua clan halls. The Guangdong clan halls seen in places like Nanning, Yulin, and Baise in Guangxi have architectural styles very similar to the Guangzhao clan hall in Hoi An. At night, the ancient bridge over the Hoi An River, reflected in the water under the glow of lanterns, appears to dance gracefully on the water.
In 1999, Hoi An Ancient Town was inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list.
