Farewell to the fifth generation of Peak Tram

The Peninsula Cable Car has been growing with us since it was inaugurated in 1888. The fifth generation Peninsula Cable Car is about to be retired and will be suspended for about six months from June 28 for upgrade works.

To bid farewell to the fifth generation of the Peninsula Cable Car, our family took a turn before it ceased operation. The two Peninsula Cable Cars also wore new farewell outfits. Eight renowned local artists designed two body paintings on four themes including Hong Kong's "Culture", "Nature", "Iconic Landmarks" and "Cinema" to show Hong Kong's past changes and development.

The Peninsula Cable Car also offers limited-time souvenirs, including the Art of the Peninsula Cable Car commemorative package, the nostalgic board game of Chess on the Peak, a limited edition craft beer cable car-shaped gift box, and the fifth generation of the Peninsula model.
