Fire Island. Climb the mountain and go down to the sea to enjoy the Lam Wan Kok Cave

Flint Island is an island located in Sai Kung District and is the largest island in the Ung Kung Islands. There are peculiar hexagonal rock pillars and sea caves on Huoshi Island, so it is listed as part of the Hong Kong Geopark. The most famous of these is the Lanwanjiao Cave, also known as the "Guan Dao Cave". This huge sea arch is still one of the wonders of the East China Sea.

Notes:
1. There are no toilets or any supply points on the island, please be prepared before departure.
2. You can only rent speedboats to Huoshi Island, so transportation is inconvenient. Please discuss the departure and return time with the boatman.
3. If you want to go to Lam Wan Kok Cave, you need to swim there. It is recommended to wear a life jacket, water sports shoes and long-sleeved shirts and pants because there are many rocks in the sea, even covered with oyster shells.
4. There are long grass and sharp branches on the way up the mountain, so it is recommended to wear long pants.
5. Signals cannot be received on the island, so it is recommended to bring a map or be led by an experienced person.
6. Please do not climb recklessly or approach the cliff edge.

Route:
Moray Ring > Air Crash Memorial > Lam Wan Kok Rocky Beach > Lam Wan Kok Cave (Guan Dao Cave)

Length:
About 1.5km

Time:
About 60-90 minutes round trip (only counts the mountain road, not including rest and swimming to Lam Wan Kok Cave)

Transportation:
Only speedboats can be rented at Huoshi Island, usually chartered. If there are 15 people, the price is about $150-200 per person, of course it depends on the date, number of people and boatman.
If you are not traveling to Huoshi Island in a large group, you can join a local tour group. Some groups can even visit multiple islands in one day.
Please discuss the departure and return time with the boatman to avoid missing it.
