Man Mo Temple, Hong Kong
This is a small temple built to worship the God Man Tai Kuan (Man), the God of Literature, who is the God of Letters, holding a pen in his hand, and the God Mo Tai Kuan (Mo), or the God of War, who is the God of War, holding a knife in his hand.
It is the oldest temple on Hong Kong Island and the largest of all the Man Mo Temples. The building has white walls and a green tiled roof. It is a small building flanked by tall buildings on both sides.
Inside the temple, red incense circles are lit all over the ceiling. This type of incense circle takes about 3 weeks to burn out, unlike regular incense sticks. There is a bell on the side for making wishes.
