Japanese Soufflé Pancakes | Saryo Kyoto Niohmon

Saryo Kyoto Niohmon is located in the atrium of Sheung Shui Centre. This Japanese cafe specializes in pancakes, but the menu also includes omurice and Japanese rice bowls, all of which look quite appealing.

▪️Cheese Katsu Omurice $108
The price includes miso soup from the Japanese tea ceremony. You can choose the sauce for the rice; I picked curry sauce, which is a sweet Japanese curry that isn't spicy! The katsu has a layer of cheese in the middle that melts and stretches, making it quite unique.

▪️Ginger Pork $68
For an additional $18, you can upgrade to a set meal that includes an appetizer, miso soup, Japanese tea, rice, or Inaniwa udon! The pork portion is generous, with each slice being quite large. It's cooked with plenty of onions and a savory-sweet sauce, and the dish is accompanied by a duck breast salad, making it refreshing and tasty.

There are three pancakes in total, which is quite a large portion suitable for two people! The pancakes are soft and fluffy with a nice egg flavor, and they come with honey and cream.
