[Hong Kong] Wan Chai Pier Waterfront Promenade: A Weekend Space for Kids to Burn Energy

It’s been many years since I last set foot on Wan Chai Pier. This time, I took the Star Ferry across from Tsim Sha Tsui and saw this waterfront promenade in front of the pier, which added a splash of color to the whole harbor area.

The open space in front of the pier has been transformed with artificial turf and resting facilities suitable for both adults and children. Passersby can also sit down to rest before continuing on. There are many different art installations nearby, including replicas of Hong Kong street signs and a lock wall. At night, the lights make it a dazzling sight.

Nearby, there is also a former Kowloon-Canton Railway train designated as "Waterfront Only." Next time, I can visit and even go inside the carriage for a photo op 😌
