Recently in Hong Kong, Pandy checked in at the Michelin one-star restaurant for 5 consecutive years, Marriott Golden Pavilion.
The restaurant is tucked inside the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong,
where traditional Chinese charm and contemporary elegance
are skillfully blended.
Gilded carvings and geometric lines complement each other,
while morning glory-shaped glass lamps hang down,
casting sparkling light like a starry river.
Every step inside is a scenic delight,
and the food is even more heartwarming💓
“Marriott Imperial Concubine Char Siu”
Lightly coated pork tenderloin with honey glaze, a fusion of crispy and sweet,
as if folding Hong Kong’s vibrant street life into refinement.
“Braised Baby Cuttlefish”
Hidden with pickled vegetable filling,
the deep flavor of the braising sauce unfolds on the palate.
“Golden Pavilion Non-Snake Soup”
Ingeniously crafted,
blending shredded duck, fish maw, chicken shreds, and more
into a warming soup.
No snake meat used, yet it mimics the texture of 🐍.
“Almond Cream Pan-fried Fish Maw”
Pan-fried fish maw wrapped in almond chicken broth,
a collision of smoothness and richness.
“Ten Months’ Pregnancy”
Inspired by the chef’s wife’s post-pregnancy ginger pork trotters,
braised pork belly, pork shank, and quail eggs in sweet and sour sauce,
creating a sweet, sour, and spicy flavor
that makes the pork trotters less greasy.
“Golden Pavilion Dried Abalone Lotus Leaf Rice”
South African dried abalone and diced chicken wrapped in lotus leaf,
the lotus fragrance complements the delicacies from land and sea,
each bite is a surprise.
“Osmanthus Pearl Herbal Jelly”
“Pearls” filled with red beans and chestnuts,
with a popping texture!
Topped with osmanthus syrup,
refreshing and cleansing the palate.
“Mini Puff Egg Tart”
Small, crispy, delicate, and soft.
The dessert is paired with 1980 vintage Maury sweet wine,
with soft tannins and rich flavor🍷,
cleverly balancing the taste of Hong Kong desserts,
a perfect ending.
