Japanese Cuisine in Lai Chi Kok: Cozy Wooden Ambiance

This time, I visited the Lai Chi Kok branch for lunch. It was quite busy, but they offer lunch sets, and the environment is very comfortable to sit in.ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ

✨ Kagoshima Black Wagyu Beef Set ($128)
The bite-sized Wagyu beef is tender and juicy, with a hint of black pepper on the crust. The beef flavor is rich, and the texture is slightly powdery. The rice served is pearl rice.🫶🏻

✨ Sukiyaki Wagyu Beef Set ($178)
The Wagyu beef slices are large and tender, with minimal fat, so it doesn’t feel greasy. The sukiyaki includes mushrooms, vegetables, tofu, and glass noodles. The broth is rich and flavorful without being overly salty.

✨ Sake-Steamed Clams ($68)
Highly recommended!😳 The clams are large and sand-free, with a fresh and sweet taste. The sake adds a fragrant aroma, making the clams very flavorful.

✨ Kamakura Momiji Chaya Matcha Tiramisu ($58)
The tiramisu is creamy, with a smooth and silky cream in the middle and a light milk fragrance. The ladyfinger base is moist, and the matcha powder on top adds a slight bitterness, creating a rich layering of flavors.

✨ Iced Matcha Latte (+$25)
The Matcha Latte has a moderate sweetness with a pleasant matcha aroma. It’s not the kind with a bitter aftertaste but is still quite enjoyable and smooth without any powdery texture.

✨ Hot Freshly Ground Coffee (+$15)
The freshly ground coffee is particularly aromatic and comes with stone chocolate on the side.😳
