Michelin-starred restaurant, Tung Fook Hin, in Hong Kong

This time, I visited Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong, where my friend arranged a special Chinese cuisine feast. The Michelin-starred chef personally prepared the dishes, making the entire experience feel incredibly luxurious! Chef Chi Wai specializes in Shunde cuisine and incorporates aged tangerine peel into his dishes. Even traditional leafy greens are cooked with such depth of flavor that they leave a lasting impression. Highly recommended for all Chinese food lovers.

Tung Fook Hin
Address: 5th Floor, Rosewood Hong Kong, 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui
Signature Dishes:
- Crispy Roasted Chicken: The chicken skin is super crispy, the meat is juicy, and the seasoning is not overpowering. The subtle aroma of tangerine peel adds a unique touch.
- Nutty Crispy Beef Cubes: The beef cubes are tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with the nutty and caramelized crunch. A must-order appetizer for gatherings.
- Deluxe Shrimp Dumplings: The dumpling skin is thin and delicate, with a filling of fresh, bouncy shrimp. The slight hint of lard adds an extra layer of flavor.
- Barbecue Platter: Made with high-quality ingredients, the char siu and roast duck are both outstanding. The tangerine peel flavor enhances the taste of each barbecue item without overpowering them.
- Baked Barbecue Pork Buns: I also tried their signature baked barbecue pork buns. The crust is crispy, and the sweet and fragrant barbecue pork filling is absolutely irresistible!

The Rosewood Hotel boasts elegant and tasteful decor. Tung Fook Hin features a spacious and comfortable dining area with a sophisticated color scheme. Dining here is a relaxing experience, complemented by beautiful views and exquisite dishes.

The average cost per person is around $400-600, depending on the dishes ordered. For a higher budget, you can try a variety of handcrafted Shunde dishes. For feasts or custom menus, you can arrange in advance with the restaurant.

Highlights:
The chef puts a lot of thought into every dish, including the sauces and garnishes. The tangerine peel theme is perfect for those who appreciate the nuances of Chinese cuisine. The ambiance and service are both thoughtful, and the presentation and flavors of the dishes leave a deep impression.

Personal Experience:
Chef Chi Wai curated a 10-course Shunde meal for me, and the leafy greens cooked with tangerine peel were unexpectedly amazing. The entire meal was full of surprises from start to finish. One of my friends, who usually doesn't enjoy traditional dishes, said they would come back just for the leafy greens. It completely changed their perception!

Travel Tips:
It's recommended to book a table in advance, especially if you want a specific menu or special arrangements by the chef. It's not only suitable for corporate gatherings but also perfect for celebratory occasions with a touch of ceremony.
