Hong Kong Gets Its First-Ever Hot-Air Balloon Festival!

This September, an unprecedented aerial fantasy spectacle is set to sweep across Victoria Harbour! The inaugural Hong Kong International Balloon Festival will take place from 4 to 7 September at the Central Harbourfront Event Space, gathering uniquely shaped balloons from Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and beyond. Among them are six giant balloons reaching 20 metres in height and more than ten smaller 11-metre-high balloons, floating like works of art—several of which have appeared at major international events. The festival also features a light-and-sound show, numerous photo spots, a gourmet bazaar, themed games and retail stalls, promising a vibrant atmosphere.


At the same venue, the Starry Sky Music Festival will run every evening. Performing are event ambassadors Joey Yung, Leo Ku, Kenny Kwan, Gin Lee, Endy Chow, ToNick, Vincy Chan, Siu Hau, Kayan9896, Serrini, Tyson Yoshi, RubberBand and more, spanning different eras and genres in a non-stop relay of live music under the stars.
