A new western restaurant with a unique twist opens in Tin Hau
I recently saw on IG that a good friend celebrated Valentine's Day in February at a newly opened western restaurant in Tin Hau. The reviews seemed good and the prices were acceptable, so I tried to call the restaurant to make a reservation. After arriving today, the owner was very polite and reserved a large table for me in advance, with a small view of the sea. I am very grateful. The owner introduced that the menu is updated every two weeks in order to provide customers with fresh and most distinctive Western food, and he looks forward to customers coming back next time. It is indeed a unique new restaurant. Finally I chose this week’s picks and was satisfied with it afterwards.
Starters
Creamy pumpkin soup & fresh, sweet and appetizing lime coconut prawn salad (with 4 prawns!!!)
Main Courses
1. Angus Sirloin Steak (8oz) with French Fries, Gravy, and Hydroponic Salad +$40
The 50%-well-done sirloin steak is already sliced and served with gravy and fries. The price is quite reasonable and it is a steak worth recommending.
2. Slow-cooked beef cheek with vegetable fried potato balls, white radish and Spanish red sauce
Beef cheek is a common high-end dish in foreign countries, such as Spanish or Italian cuisine. I fell in love with it after eating it in a Hong Kong restaurant. The advantage of slow-cooked beef cheek is that the meat is tender and melts in your mouth. It is delicious even without any sauce. It is a must-order main dish!
Drinks - LA VIE EN ROSE MILK-WASH & Sour Cocktail +$78
Both cocktails were recommended by the bartender. One has a fresh rose scent, and the other has a sweet and sour orange flavor.
Desserts - Tiramisu & Mochi Waffle +$30
Coffee-flavored Tiramisu and crispy mochi waffles, paired with a scoop of ice cream, put a quiet and pleasant end to today's Western meal~
Under the epidemic, small shops in Hong Kong are facing operational difficulties. If you are willing to order takeout, the boss recommends a takeout meal for two for $488 or a 30% discount on OpenRice takeout. I hope we can get through this difficult time. Come on, Hong Kong people!
