Hakka Rice Dumplings $85
Sweet Potato Leaves $55
Braised Egg $20
Dried Tofu $25
Liver and Meat $80
Bone-in Meat $80
It’s been a while since I visited this area, so I decided to come back and enjoy some Hakka rice dumplings. I remember thinking they were pretty good last time.
Both dine-in and takeout orders are placed outside the restaurant. The menu is posted next to the ordering counter, and after placing your order, you can find a seat inside.
The dining area inside is relatively clean and quite cool. As lunchtime approaches on weekdays, the number of dine-in and takeout customers gradually increases.
The Hakka rice dumplings come in a fairly large bowl. The dumplings are small, and the soup looks less clear, but the taste is decent.
The dried tofu and braised egg are average, but the liver and meat, as well as the bone-in meat, are generously portioned. Both are quite tender, with the liver and meat offering a bit more chewiness. The sweet potato leaves are plentiful, though they weren’t very tender this time.
There’s a small parking lot diagonally across from the restaurant, so you can park your car and enjoy a nice lunch. Also, the seasonal mango smoothie from the drink shop next door is excellent—a must-have in hot weather.
