Fengbin Coast - Shitiping Scenic Area, a great place for whale watching and seafood snacks at the fishing port.

Hualien-Taitung Coast Day Tour, heading to Shitiping Scenic Area!
Shitiping is located on the south side of Shitiping Bay in Fengbin. The entire coastline features a rocky coastal erosion landscape, including monocline hills, sea erosion trenches, potholes, and intertidal zones, all the way to Shitiping Harbor, a prime whale watching spot. Our itinerary includes about an hour's stay, perfect for a leisurely walk and taking photos. We also plan to enjoy some seafood at the fishing port!

Previously, my impression of Shitiping was limited to the popular Slow Inn. I had never actually entered the Shitiping Scenic Area. This time, the tour guide arranged for a one-hour stay, allowing us to truly experience the grandeur of the coastal erosion landscape. The unique scenery, with its gray-white rocky formations resembling a lunar landscape, is quite photogenic.

This was also my first visit to Shitiping Fishing Port. By noon, there was no fish market to explore, only a few seafood snack stalls by the pier and some whale-watching boat operators. It was quite refreshing. Perhaps next time, I should plan a whale-watching trip.
