Hualien Shimen Cave, see the sea erosion reef rock formations and march cars!

Come to Shimen Cave to take photos of the "march car"!
The Shimen section of the Hualien-Taitung coastline is located 4-5 kilometers north of Shiti Fishing Port. It is named because there are huge sea caves in the coastal reef area here, which are shaped like a gate.

Its formation is the reef coast of volcanic rock layers, which has been eroded by waves over the years, forming sea caves, sea trenches, potholes, sea platforms and other landforms, as well as rich marine ecology and algal reefs.

Shimen Cave has three openings. A huge banyan tree grows at the upper opening, and the opening on the sea side is called the "March Cave" because of its shape that resembles a march car. Together with the sea erosion grooves on the outside of the sea cave facing the Pacific Ocean, some of which resemble pugs or hearts, they are all must-see photo spots!
