Mist and Mystery at Huangguoshu

Another wonderful getaway in rural Guizhou!

Out in the mountains of Anshun city, a geological marvel awaits! Natural caves, lakes, rapids, and a giant waterfall all in a day trip from Guiyang.

Take the train from Guiyangbei to Anshunxi, then hop in a shared bus to Huangguoshu. We took the train at 6:20am, and arrived before 8:00.

Since this was just before the national holiday, the crowds were quite small until after lunch when things got a bit busier. Also, be prepared for a lot of walking, and make sure to bring waterproof clothing. If the rain doesn’t get you, the spray from the waterfall probably will!
