Chengbei Sports Park, located east of Shaoxing Road in Hangzhou's Xiacheng District, is the city's first theme park and currently the largest park. With over 95% greenery coverage , the park boasts captivating natural scenery, unique cultural landscapes, and a winding mountain path lined with vibrant trees. It is a comprehensive mountain forest park offering recreation, fitness, entertainment, and science education.
The park boasts a 2,000- square-meter sea of chrysanthemums and a 500- square-meter sea of sunflowers. These two seas are flanked by rustic gravel paths, bamboo, and a variety of roses. The central section of the park features a famous fish-watching community arrangement, reminiscent of the Flower Harbor.
The cluster is based on cedars, cherry blossoms and other tall trees (camphor, magnolia, ginkgo, osmanthus, chicken feet cherry, etc.) that were relocated during the renovation of Huancheng North Road, supplemented by various other flower species such as national flag red, Somei Yoshino weeping cherry, Guanshan cherry (Yae), sunshine cherry, pine moon, etc. The cluster stretches over about 5,000 square meters.
The seasons are suitable for all seasons. In summer, you can enjoy the sea of sunflowers; in spring and autumn, there are seas of verbena, cockscomb, and lavender.
