| Step into a real-life ink painting summer. Just descended from Huangshan, and my phone is filled with photos I can't bear to delete! A 5-day, 4-night immersive experience of the awe-inspiring scenery that proves "No need to see other mountains after visiting the Five Great Mountains," complete with a super practical guide~
🖼️ Must-Visit Heavenly Spots!
▪️ The Greeting Pine really "greets" you! As the symbol of Huangshan, it's a must-see. Visit in the early morning to avoid crowds—the viewing platform on the right side of Yuping Lou offers an incredible angle, with the pine and rocks framed like a painting🌲
▪️ The sunrise and sea of clouds at Bright Summit are legendary! The 360° panoramic viewing platform is perfect for watching the sunrise. When the first rays of sunlight turn the sea of clouds golden, everyone around you will be cheering. If you're lucky, you might even see mountain peaks emerging like islands from the clouds🏔️
▪️ Xihai Grand Canyon is a "magical canyon"! The suspended walkway might make your legs shake, but the views are breathtaking. Riding the viral mini-train through the mist feels like entering a fairyland. The 3.5-hour hike is tiring but totally worth it🌫️
▪️ The shape of Aoyu Peak is fascinating! It looks like a giant turtle perched on the mountaintop. Pose in the "turtle's mouth" for a photo—it feels like the mountain is holding you up, creating a magical atmosphere~
▪️ Shixin Peak is perfect for seeing bizarre pines and rocks! The Black Tiger Pine and Couple Pine each have unique shapes, and the sight of pines rooted in cliffs is strangely inspiring🌿
🗺️ Itinerary Suggestions
▪️ One-Day Express Route (Lazy-Friendly):
Yungu Cableway up → Shixin Peak → Black Tiger Pine → Bright Summit → Aoyu Peak → Greeting Pine → Yuping Cableway down (Easy route covering all highlights)
▪️ Two-Day In-Depth Tour (For Hardcore Hikers):
Day 1: Yungu Cableway → Shixin Peak → Beihai Scenic Area → Xihai Grand Canyon → Stay at Paiyun Lou
Day 2: Sunrise at Bright Summit → Aoyu Peak → Lotus Peak → Greeting Pine → Yuping Cableway down
💰 Cost & Gear Tips
▪️ Tickets: Peak season ¥190/off-season ¥150; Cableways: Yungu/Taiping ¥80, Yuping ¥90. Book online in advance for convenience~
▪️ Clothing: It's 10°C colder at the summit! Even in July, bring a light jacket. Non-slip shoes and a raincoat are essential (weather changes instantly—sunny one moment, rainy the next)
▪️ Supplies: Summit dining is pricey and mediocre (buffet ¥128/person). Pack self-heating hotpot, chocolate, and water—hiking burns energy~
▪️ Energy-Saving Tips: Take the Xihai Grand Canyon mini-train downhill (¥80)—climbing up is exhausting. Rent or buy a walking stick to protect your knees on the descent~
🍲 Must-Try Post-Hike Foods
▪️ Try Huizhou hairy tofu! Crispy outside, tender inside, and delicious with spicy sauce. It looks unusual but tastes amazing~
▪️ Eat Huangshan sesame cakes hot! Filled with preserved vegetable and pork, they're crispy and crumbly—perfect as souvenirs~
▪️ Stinky mandarin fish smells funky but tastes divine! The tender, flaky fish pairs perfectly with rice and local wild greens~
💡 Real Experience & Tips
Huangshan's beauty is beyond words! When the cable car broke through the clouds, revealing endless peaks, I suddenly understood why ancient poets loved this place. Sunny days showcase bold ink paintings, while rainy days reveal misty watercolors—every day brings new wonders. Though hiking is exhausting, standing at the summit with the wind in your hair makes all the fatigue vanish. Share your favorite viewpoints if you've been! 💕
