Hunchun Bohai Ancient Town

‌Hunchun Bohai Ancient Town is located on G302 (Hunchun-Wuwei Road) in Hunchun City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. It is a cultural and tourist attraction with the history of the Bohai Kingdom of the Tang Dynasty as its background.

The historical Bohai Ancient Town is located 28 km east of Hunchun City. It is a water town built on a mountain and prospered by water. The ancient town was first built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and was originally called "Bohai Kingdom Ancient City." It is now the only well-preserved ancient city site in Northeast China and also a border trade port among China, Russia, and North Korea. As early as the mid-18th century, it was the earliest foreign trade port in Northeast China.

The newly built Hunchun Bohai Ancient Town is based on the history of the Bohai Kingdom of the Tang Dynasty. It combines the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty with the historical and cultural features of the town. Visitors can experience a journey through time and space, enjoying the dining, accommodation, and shopping experience.
