Tokyo's Hidden Gem: A Theme Park More Worth Visiting Than Disney?! 🤩🎢

#summervacay
Okay, out of the 159 theme parks I've visited worldwide, the Keio Yomiuri Land is one I highly recommend! Just a 30-minute drive from Tokyo, this park has been thrilling visitors since 1964 – celebrating its 60th anniversary this year! It's super popular with locals in Tokyo.

It's not just about the rides, though they have some amazing ones, like the Bandit (once Asia's tallest roller coaster at 51 meters!), the UFO Noodle Ride (yes, really!), the Lipovitan D Drop Tower, and the Taisho Pharmaceutical Suspended Coaster. Here, everything can be turned into a fun amusement park experience!

What Makes It Unique & Fun?!

Unique Entrance! 🚠

Since the park is nestled on a hillside, you actually take a gondola to get in from Keio Yomiuri Land Station. It costs 250 yen (about S$2.20), but it gives you a totally unique view and a chance to fly right over the park as you enter! How cool is that?

First Stop: Asia's Former Tallest Coaster! 🚀

Head straight for Bandit! Opened in 1988 and built by Togo, this was once the tallest roller coaster in all of Asia. Even today, at 51 meters, it still ranks as the sixth tallest roller coaster in Japan! And because it's so close to Tokyo, from its highest point, you can even catch a glimpse of Shinjuku in the distance! What a view!
