Located in Death Valley, Scotty’s Castle is a Spanish Revival mansion with a colorful backstory. Though the castle is currently under restoration, visiting it was still fascinating. The architecture looked like something out of old Hollywood, and the stories about “Death Valley Scotty” — a con man who lived there — brought the place to life. Surrounded by one of the harshest deserts, it felt surreal to find such a lavish estate. The combination of mystery, history, and setting made it unforgettable. Scotty’s Castle is a quirky, historic gem that earned a firm spot in my #mytraveldiary.
