Shuzenji "Bamboo Forest Path"

The Bamboo Forest Path is a quaint 300m walkway that runs along the Katsura River, which runs through the hot spring town of Shuzenji Onsen in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, a representative hot spring resort in Izu. It stretches from the beautiful vermilion-painted Katsura Bridge to Kaede Bridge, and then further upstream to Takishita Bridge! The walkway was developed over three years, starting in 1994, and has a large circular bamboo bench in the middle! If you lie down on the bench and look up, you can see the view in the first picture. The path is also lit up at night, so you can enjoy a different view from the daytime.
