HARUKA is an express train belonging to West Japan Railway Company (JR West). It is a popular airport express train connecting Kansai International Airport (KIX / RJBB) with Osaka, Kyoto and other areas🚄

Originally, the body of Haruka was simple white🚅JR West decided to add the popular cartoon character "Hello Kitty" to give tourists a different experience.

The "Hello Kitty HARUKA" train originally had only six carriages, and the number of carriages will be gradually increased as passenger flow increases.

Until 2021, all HARUKA trains will become "Hello Kitty HARUKA" and have 4 different designs.

The train stops at Tennoji (about 35 minutes), Osaka (about 47 minutes), and Shin-Osaka (about 50 minutes) along the way with Kyoto as the final stop (about 80 minutes). 🕰️

Because this route is the only train that can go directly to Kyoto without transferring, it is definitely the fastest and most convenient option to leave Kyoto!

The train has three types of cars: non-reserved seats, reserved seats, and green cars. In addition to the train ticket, you will need a limited express ticket for each car.

The green car is a more advanced car than the regular car, mainly with a spacious interior and more comfortable seats💺

Not only the headbands on the seats, windows, but also the sinks, toilets, etc., have Hello Kitty paintings.

There are luggage storage areas at the front and rear of the Haruka non-reserved and reserved seats cars.
Free Wi-Fi is also available on the train, and some carriages have sockets next to the seats.
