Izumo Taisha, located in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, is one of Japan's most powerful shrines, dedicated to Okuninushi-no-Okami, the god of matchmaking.
Known as the "land where gods gather," Izumo Taisha attracts worshippers from all over the country praying for success in love.
As you enter the shrine path, you'll be greeted by a magnificent torii gate lined with pine trees, and the air feels instantly clearer as you step into the sacred grounds.
The main shrine is approximately 24 meters tall, with an impressive cypress bark roof.
One of Japan's largest shimenawa ropes (approximately 13 meters in length), hanging from the worship hall, makes for an impressive photo spot.
The worship ritual is unique: two bows, four claps, one bow. Memorizing this before joining your hands will help you pray more carefully.
It is said to bring benefits not only for love, but also for all kinds of connections, including relationships and career luck.
