🌋2-Day, 1-Night Trip🌋 Take the Train to Climb Mt. Fuji
We started at Shinjuku Station and luckily took the high-class Next train to Otsuki Station. From there, we had to take a local train to Kawaguchiko Station, which took quite a while, about two hours. Upon arriving at Kawaguchiko Station, we quickly went to the ticket booth selling bus tickets for Station 5th. There were both one-way and round-trip options. We chose the one-way ticket because we were returning the other way. From there, we had to wait for the 2:00 PM bus. With some time left, we strolled around and took photos in the scorching 34-degree heat, which is just as hot as Thailand. There's luggage storage available, or you can rent a bike and cycle around the lake. Since we didn't have much time, we stocked up on supplies and arrived at a landmark popular with tourists for photos. However, we should still respect the rules here, as there's a zebra crossing. As the time approached, we waited for the bus to go to Station 5th. It was packed with foreign tourists. We chatted with a Singaporean friend on the bus. Once we reached our destination, we all went our separate ways. After a bit of acclimatization, we registered and paid the small fee. We started. This trail is called the Yoshida Trail, and it's the most popular. It took us about 8 hours to reach Station 8. We took breaks along the way, exhausted, and met a young Japanese man. We then walked together through the dark, cold air until we finally reached the summit of Mount Fuji. After our mission was fulfilled, we parted ways with our friends to head to another city on the Shizuoka side and returned to Tokyo.
♥️Mount Fuji is open for climbing every year. Approximate dates:
July 11 - early September
