🚗Main Route
Jeddah City High-Speed Rail Station — Old Town Old Jeddah, Al Balad — Corniche and King Fahad's Fountain — New Jeddah Corniche — Al Rahmah Mosque (Floating Mosque) — Airport
🚗Attraction Introduction
1. The King Fahad Fountain: This is the tallest fountain in the world (312m) located on Jeddah Corniche and is one of the city's landmarks. It is recommended to visit in the evening to experience the Red Sea sunset, which offers a unique beauty.
2. Jeddah Corniche: Beach and sea views where you can walk, bike, or take a boat ride to enjoy the coastline. There are also many cafes and restaurants, perfect for meals or afternoon tea. Watching the sunset here is also great. The New Corniche is in the new city area and feels like an extension of the coastal road.
3. Old Jeddah (Al-Balad): Although a bit rundown, walking through it really feels like traveling through time. All the houses in the old town are built from coral from the depths of the Red Sea. The old town is currently under renovation, with some construction areas, but it does not affect visiting. There are also many museums and cafes inside, making it great for leisurely strolling.
4. Al Rahmah Mosque, also called the Floating Mosque: It is actually right by the shore. If you want to visit, please pay attention to dress code in advance. The nearby community feels quite nice, with many restaurants and cafes.
🚗The above route is smoother to follow, but one day might not be enough to complete the whole circle, and taxis can be quite expensive. Personally, I think the old town is the most worthwhile place to visit. If you have one day, I recommend spending half a day there. If you have more time, you can also check out Red Sea Mall, but I found it quite average when passing by. If you get the chance, I recommend experiencing the high-speed rail station, which is beautifully built.
