Cheollipo Arboretum is one of the world's most renowned **"magnolia colonies"**. With over 900 different magnolia varieties, spring brings a spectacular display of rare and colorful magnolia blossoms. Visit in spring (usually late March to mid-April) to experience the magnolia feast.
In particular, the **"Magnolia Garden"** and **"Sanjeong Magnolia Garden"**, secret spaces cherished and nurtured by the arboretum, are temporarily opened to the public only during the annual Magnolia Festival to preserve the ecosystem. Here, you can see a variety of magnolias, including the "star magnolia" with dozens of petals and rare species with contrasting colors on the inside and outside. During the festival period, a guided walking program with a gardener is also operated, so if you want to hear an in-depth story about magnolias, this is a #must-see course in the spring season.
