Hanyangdong Korean Buffet

Recommended buffet in Jeju: Hanyangdong Restaurant is located in Josu-ri, Hangyeong-myeon, Jeju City, about a 50-minute drive from Jeju Airport. Heading west from the restaurant, you'll find a spacious parking lot where you can park for free.

The restaurant is not far from Jeju Olle Trail Route 13 and is surrounded by popular western Jeju attractions such as Jeoji Oreum, the Garden of Thinking, Bicheollin, and The Ma Park, making it a convenient stop during your travels. Hanyangdong Buffet operates from 11 AM to 2 PM every day except Sundays, including Saturdays. As it only serves lunch and operates for just three hours a day, plan your visit accordingly.

At the counter, you need to pay a buffet fee of 12,000 KRW per person in advance. Note that an environmental surcharge may apply if you leave excessive food waste. The buffet offers a variety of dishes, including beef seaweed soup, boiled pork slices, grilled hairtail, salad, bellflower root cucumber salad, kimchi, green onion salad, broccoli, sausages, japchae, Korean pancakes, and tangerines.

One highlight is the boiled pork slices, which are freshly cut by staff on the spot, with steam rising to make them look incredibly appetizing. Among all the dishes, the boiled pork slices stood out as the best in Jeju, and the other side dishes and salads were seasoned just right—not too salty or spicy—making them popular among both locals and tourists.

When dining at the buffet, it's recommended to take enough food at once since the restaurant is busy from 11 AM to 2 PM, and you might have to wait to refill your plate. After finishing your meal, you can return your dishes at the designated area outside to the right. There’s also a water dispenser and a machine for making milk coffee at the back.
